As part of Better in a Trade Union Week, the Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT) is hosting an expert webinar on claiming and planning a Contract of Indefinite Duration (CID) application in the higher education sector.
This practical online session will support staff working in academic, research, and academic-related grades. The webinar will outline the legal and collective agreement frameworks governing CIDs, explain eligibility and timelines, and provide guidance on preparing a CID application.
The webinar will take place online on 29 April 2026 from 1.00 pm–2.00 pm and will be delivered by IFUT officials with extensive experience supporting members through CID claims. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how trade unions support workers in tackling precarious employment in higher education.
The webinar is open to both IFUT members and non-members as part of the Better in a Trade Union Week programme.
