Research on STOP TTIP

Dear Irish Federation of University Teachers team,

member of the alliance running campaigns and actions against TTIP and CETA.
We are two professors of political science at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence (Prof. Manuela Caiani) and  Padua University (Prof. Paolo R. Graziano) and we are conducting a research project on the STOP TTIP campaign.

Our research aims to investigate the development of the STOP TTIP movement by exploring how its member organizations organize their activities nationally and on the European level. Furthermore, we are interested to what extent there was a collaboration amongst the organizations cross-nationally and how the members of the STOP TTIP campaign assess the opportunities to influence EU decision-making.

For this reason, we are writing you to kindly invite your organization, Irish Federation of University Teachers, to contribute to our research by completing a short online questionnaire. The study has only research-academic purposes; if requested, we can guarantee full anonymity and if you need further clarification please do not hesitate to contact us.

Through our research we hope to gain an understanding in how far civil society actors are (or not) able to influence policies on the European Union level and what strategies prove to be successful (or unsuccessful).
Furthermore, please let us know if you are interested in the research results, which we gladly share with you.
